Last Friday, ISM students from across the school district presented their display boards in the research showcase that took place at the UNT campus in Frisco. This was a really fun experience and was one of my favorite parts of ISM this year. At the showcase, I was able to present my display board, which consists of my primary and secondary research, original work, and mentor. I presented to parents, students, and teachers from other schools. This allowed me to build more confidence in my speaking skills and I enjoyed being able to talk to many different people. I was also able to look at the display boards of students from other schools. This was interesting because I was able to learn more about what other students are doing in ISM and how they are directing work toward their final products. I have also been able to meet with Sameer again. We discussed my final product proposal and how we can further refine it. We also went over the outline I created for the final product and some potential limitations or issues that I can encounter throughout the process of creating it and how to address them.
